Cars Accident in the Sultanate of Oman

"The increased rate of accidents in the past years is due to lack of awareness of traffic with motorists, and Ignore traffic rules." By these words, the policeman, Salim Rashid starts talking about the problem.

He completed by saying that weather factors also caused high rates of accidents where the rain, slippery floors, and fog.

He mentions that many accidents are caused by the young teens who have no interest in the lives of others. They drive with high speeds where they put their lives and the life of others in danger. Here, he emphasizes that the parents should educate their children about importance of regulations of traffic.

He adds that we should push our society to have more awareness and become more responsible.
That is because we cannot do anything unless every person is convinced and begins to change himself, and starts to do the correct application of the principles in his life.

As they say driving is an art and morality, you have to follow this principle, so we can perhaps feel some security when we are on the roads

Risk of accidents including loss of life. For sure you do not like to lose someone you love because of an accidents, which others people do not like it too. So you must drive carefully and advise the people you know to be more vigilant and responsible.
Using the phone while driving is one of the causes of accidents

Disables

Disable refers to the people who cannot move or work because there is a problem in his body function or structure that makes the person unable to involve in life situations normally. Thus disability is a complex pheuomenon, reflecting an interaction between features of a person's body and features of the society in which he or she lives .A disability may occur during person's life time or may by present from birth.

Every person in the society has rights as the ones without disabilities, but is the society giving them their rights?

When I talk about society I mean the society of Dhofar. I and my friends visited the Al-Wafa Social Center and there we saw different kinds of treatments and machines, but sadly they miss other advanced facilities that may make the disabled more able.

All they need is medical care provided in the form of individual treatment by professionals. Also they need some of social actions and are much collective responsibility of society at large to make the environmental modifications necessary for the full participation of people with disabilities in all areas of social life.

Some people with disabilities we met in the center do not like the word ''disabilities'' because of a belief that it originally meant someone who could not work, so we should not deal with them like they are different from us. We better give them that feeling of equality ,like healthy people.

To all the people who read the article, if you want to do something for them and give them the happiness, you just smile when you see them and help needed of cash benefits for the purchase of personal assistance with the activities of daily life.

Khareef Salalah

The ancient city of Salalah is the second largest town in the Sultanate of Oman. To know more about this remarkable city, we interviewed Mubarak Al Shahri, a specialist in tourism. Mubarak mentions that despite Salalah lying close to the Arabian desert, it enjoys a tropical climate through most of the year. Temperatures are very hot in the summer soaring to 40 degrees. However, in winter, it can fall down to 22 degrees.

He adds that the town is subjected to the south-west monsoons, which blow from India. This period (late June to early September) is known as the Khareef season. Visitor from across the Arabian Gulf flock to Salalah to enjoy the monsoon and avoid the harsh heat faced by the rest of the region during the same period. Also in this period, the town's population nearly doubles various fairs are organized, such as the Khareef Festival.

Suffering from Obesity

Obesity is what doctors call it when you have too much body fat. Also the obesity is an increase in the body mass above its natural limit. As a biology teacher, Eiman Rawas, said that there are many things cause obesity. First of all, we have the unhealthy diet, especially eating junk food, drinking fizzy drinks or eating too much food even if it is good food. Secondly, there are the psychological disorders and lack of doing enough exercise. In addition teacher Eiman said "not getting enough sleep can affect the body's hormone and makes a person more likely to become obese."
There are many problems caused by obesity such as heart disease, diabetes and damaging joints are the main one. Also the social problems are probably worse.

Finally, if you want to keep your body healthy without obesity, teacher Eman gives you some tips. You should avoiding over eating and make sure that your food contains lead meat, nuts, beans and protein sources. Also you should do exercise and do not eat unhealthy food like chocolate and fizzy drinks.

How can we save our Traditions
Customs and traditions are set of values and principles that go by the society without prior planning or a specific agreement .

As a conservative community we have to save our traditions .

How to do so?? We interviewed some Omani people and here is a summary of their ideas.
All the interviewers agree that as an Islamic community we take our traditions from religion that results in the behaviors of the Omanis and the qualities of their characters such as sodality, cooperation, respect and mercy for young people .

Some ensures that Omani traditions are documented and embodied in the work of museums , festivals and the work by professional handcrafts training courses held in many Omani women institutes.

This means both citizens sand government are participating to save our precious customs and traditions .

However of the effort made to save Omani traditions. Cooperation between all sections is a must because some traditions worth keeping for its originality and service to the reality of local , or maintain features of the community and cultural preservation from loss .

We should be conscious and open eyed to the process of changing and globalization which is happening.
